Benefits, Constrains and Risks

Vibration therapy is a physical therapy that utilizes vibration stimulation to enhance the effectiveness. Such a mechanical stimulation has a unique pattern and may serve as an innovative treatment intervention to attain certain results that are not achievable through traditional physical therapy and mainstream medicine.

  • Through inducing rapidly repeated skeletal muscle contractions, vibration activates and exercises our muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Muscle contractions also create a skeletal muscle pump effect, facilitating the distribution and relay of blood and lymph.

  • In other words, vibration intervention influences our three body systems: 1) musculoskeletal system, 2) neuromuscular system, and 3) peripheral circulation system.
